PRECEPTOR & MENTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Experienced nurses are challenged with helping new nurses develop their skillset and provide safe care to patients. While some nurses are natural teachers, many need resources and support to become excellent preceptors. Our Preceptor & Mentor Development Program provides the leadership training and resources experienced nurses need to help train the next generation of nurses.
Being a preceptor offers the experienced nurse an opportunity for lifelong learning and another step toward recognition as a leader and expert nurse.
For the mentor, the experience offers an opportunity to powerfully impact patient care by supporting other nurses.

Being acknowledged as an expert and nurse leader by peers, providers and hospital leadership can build strong bonds with the organization and improve the preceptor's and mentor's satisfaction of job and career.
